Which whisky to offer for Mother's Day and Father's Day?

With Mother’s and Father’s Day approaching, it’s time to dare to surprise those delicate women and daring men with an ORIGINAL and thoughtful GIFT. To do this, the House of Benjamin Kuentz offers a selection of 4 whiskies all produced exclusively in France. A wide range of flavours that will guarantee personal attention and COMPLICATED TASTING. And since with the arrival of Mother’s and Father’s Day comes spring and summer, Benjamin has carefully included this new floral freshness in the recipe for his eaux-de-vie D’un verre printanier and Végétal Musette. As for the Aveux Gourmands, they mark a reunion with the salty flavours and exoticism of a long-awaited summer before ending on a pastry note with Fin de Partie.

Aged between 5 and 7 years in ex-Cognac and ex-Bourbon casks, (D’UN) VERRE PRINTANIER invites you to a new adventure around whisky, a discovery of freshness to be enjoyed even in hot weather. The nose reveals a mixture of delicate aromas, between white flowers and orchard fruits. The attack on the palate is crisp and supple, retaining its fruity flavour and springtime fragrances. Like an ODE TO FEMININITY, (D’un) Verre Printanier has a well-defined taste between the raw aroma and the fragrance, but reserves a part of mystery, the one that keeps you on the edge of your seat beyond its malty and slightly spicy finish, which opens the appetite.

To celebrate Mother’s or Father’s Day, under the sign of nature, Benjamin Kuentz has imagined VEGETAL MUSETTE, a whisky as fresh as a garden in the shelter of summer. Aged in ex-cognac casks, this eau-de-vie promises a breath of fresh air, youth and vitality. On the nose, the malt blends with the vegetation and one can easily find freshly cut grass as well as notes of stone fruits. The palate, unctuous and light, gently abandons the spice and revives around eucalyptus, lemon and green pepper. Its finish concedes a touch of warmth, between honey and dried malt.

Let’s move on to confessions… those of the sin of gluttony, exotic follies and simple pleasures. With its whisky AVEUX GOURMANDS, the House of Benjamin Kuentz opens the doors to a world of surprising and secret flavours. A gift that can be felt from the nose: it is accompanied by notes of hazelnut, honey and cooked fruit. The palate is even more succulent… Full and round, it reveals notes of coconut, pineapple and salted butter caramel. Its BRETON ORIGIN can be found on the finish, which is characterized by a salty balance that will lead to future confessions… Gourmet!

Let’s counterbalance these sweet treats with some spices to end this game in a taste explosion. This single malt is ideal for lovers of whisky from across the Channel, with its aromas reminiscent of the embers of a summer barbecue. Structured and elegant, FIN DE PARTIE will enhance your summer evenings, when the sun goes down and the temperature drops slowly. Its chocolate touch will accompany you on a complex path. Its woody and peppery notes will brighten up the FÉRUS DE BOURBON.

Between freshness, nature and greed, which whisky will you choose to surprise and delight your parents?

Guide: which whisky to choose for Christmas?

Christmas is slowly coming and with it… The preparation of the end of year gifts. Around me, my friends’ questions are multiplying: “I’d like to offer a whisky to my godfather but I don’t know anything about it, can’t you give me some advice?”, or, “Great, you’ve released Aux Particules Vines #5, but I’m confined to the Aubrac, what do you say for my brother?

Guide: which whisky to choose for confinement?

I can’t repeat it enough, French whisky, in full boiling, has all the characteristics to impose itself as a must-have. Distillation is perfectly mastered in France, and we are even the instigators. Moreover, the use of the expression “eau ardente”, ancestor of alcohol of distillation, dates from the XIIIth century, and emanates from the pen of the MEDICINAL ARNAUD DE VILLENEUVE; in his antidotal collections.
